Vexations

your every action stokes the blaze in my heart
you rant on and on but fail to look me in the eye
on your podium you ask me to reason
whiles you happily disappear like you were out of season
i seethe when i gaze upon your cocky smile
for we both know you are one evil and vile
you erect castles on the bones of the fallen
on the carcases of souls left sullen
enforcing laws and limitations only to free yourself
but enslaving the sleeping minds to your amusement
quickly my eyes shrink from such improbables
wondering if your system could get any more horrible
echoes of your fading footsteps spew out parables
heavily laced with shadowed obscenities
rudely jerking us out of our induced fantasies
only the chosen few climb up your mountain of books
realising your words deserve a more blinded look
at the summit we discover the truthful lies
the deviations keeping us away from the skies
We stand before you Mister asking you to shut up
for we no more stand eyeless to your traps
your incepts deftly laid in our beliefs and hopes
I now see all I failed to notice
accepting I was but once a simple novice
Hear me now if you may
for a new creation I am resurrected
gathering my judges for your inquisition
I do hope you accept my proposition
though yet you have no voice in the matter
for you see you were the former but now the latter
a shackeled entity in my dungeon of fright
where spectres snatch out every dream every light
as eyeless chaff you shall wonder the void
finding warmth under the dark moon
die soon die young die old die now
die with a smile never with a frown
